Woodland walk and cyanotype printing

Cyanotype is a very simple yet versatile printmaking technique, and is one of the oldest alternative photography techniques. We lay objects onto sensitised paper, and expose it to UV light revealing a completely one-of-a-kind print in a gorgeous cyan blue colour. It is a fantastic technique as an introduction to printmaking and those with an interest in alternative photography techniques.

Cyanotype is a photographic printing process which produces a beautiful deep blue print. This introductory session will show you how to create your own artwork using this fascinating, easy to use process. The workshop will start with a relaxing mindful walk in our beautiful woodland setting to collect natural materials with interesting shapes to use in our prints. We will then return to our woodland setting to use the material to construct a cyanotype print.
